Hi,
My name is Mary Shobande,a British girl from London Town. I began my journey of travelling solo at the age of 21. The first visit I took alone was to Boston, Masschusetts in June 2015,where I spent three weeks. 

Prior to this vacation I was a girl who lived in a shell always afraid to do more for myself and was limited to staying within her comfort zone. I always felt empty and at timesa stranger to myself unaware of my Identity. I had gone through most of my life living for everybody else in the hopes of being accepted.

During my time in America,I discovered a new sense of independence,experienced a different culture, and found myself doing new things that I enjoyed. I was hooked. I came home feeling ambitious, and desperate to see more.

This time, I wasn't waiting around for anyone to join me. I booked another flight, this time for three months. I met new people, tried new adventures and slowly saw myself being comfortable outside of my comfort zone. Ever since then I have made it a priority to travel as much as I can.

I created 'JourneyWithMary' when I stopped living a life bound by limitations and decided to follow what truly challenged me.I want to share my passionfor travel, my love of experiencing new things, and my desire to see young women shine outside their comfort zones. Through 'JourneyWithMary', I share my life as a fully self-expressed and independent lady with the hope that I may inspire young women who need an outlet but are too afraid to do it alone.

#Throwback Thursday - AW15 Edit Fashion Insider Sharing a short Part 2 of my #TT segment with New Look.  It's based on my delight shopping in their stores across London. This time it was at their AW15 Edit Collection in preparation for Fashion Week. There were also outfits displayed which would be part of Fashion Week.  AW15 New Look I had to rush my way through the crowds in Oxford Street (you know how it is!) And I finally reached. Travel Essence ; Let's hear it for New York!

I feel so upset at the fact that I couldn't upload my daily vlogs and do my blog update each day  while in New York because I know that expressing and uploading it over a month later doesn't have the same feeling of uploading them on the exact days if you know what I mean? Everytime I look at the photos and the videos I'm nostalgic. I just wanna go back to New York and relive each moment! That's where great memories are and I know that there are so many more things I want to do when I go back! PANCAKES AND BOOZE

#FlashbackFriday www.pancakesandbooze.com I bet you guys are wondering what kind of combo is pancakes and booze (beer)...? Yes, it is definitely a combo but I would say its more normal at an art show.  It seems like my mindset has been open and a bigger interest has grown on me for art more than I expected. I see myself in art galleries and exhibitions. I've also seen so much passion and dedication that my cousin, Rimi has when it comes to her artwork which continues to  inspire many.
